A rapid first look at the search area

Vertical take-off enables deployment from a small site near the incident. Heliaz 152 can hover or systematically search over land and water. Daylight and thermal cameras help assess inaccessible terrain while teams work on the ground.

Search, locate and keep teams connected

Area scanning and distress beacon localisation provide teams with coordinates and live imagery. Airborne relay extends communications in difficult terrain; depending on configuration, the aircraft can also deliver urgent supplies.

RHOTHETA

RT-600 Light

Distress-beacon receiver

Catalogue alternative · integration unconfirmed

An airborne direction finder for locating compatible active distress transmitters.

Antenna unit (AU) weight
1 300 g
AU dimensions (diameter × height)
270 × 185 mm
AU ingress protection
IP67
AU operating temperature
−40 to +60 °C
Data interface
RS-232
Supported distress beacons
COSPAS-SARSAT · 406 MHz

Weight refers to the AU; the optional display control unit adds 250 g. The receiver locates a transmitting compatible beacon, not automatically a person without one.

Trillium Engineering

LWIR + daylight EO

Catalogue alternative · integration unconfirmed

Daylight imagery and two thermal channels in a compact stabilised gimbal.

Weight
1.55 kg
LWIR thermal channels
2 × 640 × 512 px
Daylight EO image
1 920 × 1 080 px
Dimensions (width × height)
147 × 202 mm
Supply voltage
24 V DC, regulated
Azimuth rotation
360° continuous

Persistent Systems

Embedded Module WR-5200

OEM module · Wave Relay

Catalogue alternative · integration unconfirmed

An embedded communications module for data and video transport over a Wave Relay network.

Module weight in datasheet
3.2 oz (approximately 91 g)
Supply voltage
8–28 V DC
Antenna architecture
3 × 3 MIMO
Ethernet interface
10/100 Mbps
Video processing
H.264 encoder / decoder
Flash storage
128 GB

Revision E (2024). Not a complete radio: a suitable RF module, antennas, enclosure and power supply are required. Ethernet speed is not guaranteed radio throughput; assess total assembly weight separately.
